Hints |
| 1. Graphite (Pencils) |
Wash out with lukewarm water, no cleaning
agent. Then wash as ususal

| 2. Coal/Charcoal |
For pre-cleaning use lukewarm water
with a small amount of natural soap
(e.g. ox-gall soap). Then wash as usual
|
3. Coloured Pencils,
Ink, Opaque/Gouache Colours, Watercolours,
Powder Colours, etc. |
Soak in cold water with natural soap
for about 1 hour, then rub thoroughly
and wash out. If necessary repeat. When
there’s only a faded or grey spot
wash as usual

| 4. Acrylic Colours |
Attention! Stains from acrylic colours
have to be removed immediately with
cold water and natural soap! Some colours
may be unremovable at all.

| 5. Wax Crayons in clothing |
Use a hot iron (temperature depending
on fabric) and blotting paper to remove
waxy stains. Then wash out with warm
(not hot!) water and soap.

| 6. Wax Crayons on the floor |
Stains from wax crayons on all floors
(exception: carpets) can be easiest
removed by using white blackboard chalk.
Sweep away rests and wash floor with
cleaning agent.

| 7. Chalks, Pastels |
If possible use a clothbrush for cleaning.
Then wash in cold water with natural
soap. Repeat if necessary. When there’s
only a faded or grey spot wash as usual
|
| 8. Fibre Pens, Markers |
Attention! Stains from fibre pens
or markers have to be removed immediately
with cold water and natural soap ! If
necessary soak in cold water with natural
soap for about 1 hour, then rub thoroughly
and wash out. Repeat if necessary. When
there’s only a faded or grey spot
wash as usual. Some colours may still
leave slight stains. |
