How it all began

Some people collect coins, dolls, stamps or Fabergé eggs. But not Hans Hromatka. He devotes his passion solely to pencils. A lifelong collector, he still searches the weekly flea market for the first Ariosto pencils produced by Brevillier Urban or even a complete box of 100-year-old unsharpened Zeus pencils. Decades-old collections have been turned into one of the largest pencil collections in the world.
